Building

I am currently building Cerulean for the luxury industry, which hasn’t had a definitive, alpha-to-omega job board until now.

I previously founded CareGuide and was CEO for 10 years. It is the largest caregiver matching service in Canada, and now the 2nd largest in the US.

Before CareGuide, I spent time as an Entrepreneur in Residence at the investment firm Hedgewood. It was there that I incubated CareGuide, while also sourcing investment opportunities and advising other high-growth internet ventures in their portfolio. One of these was the tech-powered marketplace company Unata which was acquired by InstaCart.

Prior to my time at Hedgewood, I served as Chief Technology Officer at FinanceIt—back when we originally launched it as CommunityLend—helping to build an innovative peer-to-peer platform in the financial services space.

My earlier entrepreneurial chapters were also heavily focused on online communities and matching markets. I founded Savvica with my wife Malgosia, where we build LearnHub and JumboTests, which grew into major higher education platforms that helped millions in the Indian market.

Before striking out with Savvica, my deep dive into scaling networks happened in San Francisco as the Director of Engineering at Affinity Labs.

Whether I was building out platforms in the Valley, scaling CareGuide in Toronto, or now developing Cerulean from my current base here in Singapore, the common thread has always been using technology to connect people with the right opportunities.
